New Upgrade

Just a note that WordPress insisted that I upgrade again. I think it looks the same, phew. But I did take this opportunity to delete a few old (and no longer useful posts).

Preparedness Blog’s Word Press Update

Posted on 5th April 2013 in Site Housekeeping

Today Word Press insisted that I upgrade before I could proceed to my blog. I did; hey — it just took a moment — but I would have appreciated some notice that something major was afoot! When I landed I found something totally different! Ewww.  So that’s why so many blogs look the same…

So I spent an hour or so searching for a similar theme (so you’d know you were in the right place, lol) and then tweaking the blog a bit. Among other things I added links to the new Blogs Plus page on my Home and School Solutions website, and to my Tower Garden website.

Have fun looking around and let me know what you think.

Read more about this..

I just wanted to let you all know that I have just updated my Home and School Solutions website. Among other things I added numerous links to all the section favourite link pages, brought the various testimonial (introduction) pages up-to-date, and fixed all the broken links.

The major thing I did, though, is add a Blogs-Plus tab/page. If there is anything I want to add to the website that cannot be naturally included in any of the existing sections (Hebrew Roots, Health=Wealth, Home Schooling, Faith Matters, Desktop Publishing, Store and Services, or About Home and School Solutions) then I will put it here.

Since most of my activity and research in recent years has been in the areas of prepping and gardening, I have put material about these two areas on the Blogs-Plus page. You are invited to go there now and check out all the links I have provided for you.

Have fun!

Blog Housekeeping Note

Posted on 5th March 2012 in Site Housekeeping

For awhile I’ve been aware that the categories under which I sorted these blog posts were not useful, but I didn’t know what terms would be useful. Today I added one (Money & Finances) and discovered how easy it was to change the others–so I spent an hour doing so. So have a look around and let me know if there are better terms I could have used and more terms I should add.

Thanks so much!

Welcome!

Posted on 23rd February 2010 in Site Housekeeping

During my brief stint as a girl guide I learned an excellent motto: ALWAYS BE PREPARED. I have always tried to be prepared for anything I could anticipate coming in my near future–to make sure there were safety pins in my purse, that lessons were planned a week ahead of time, that the bank account never went into the red… I made sure I was prepared for eternity by accepting Jesus Christ as my Saviour and tried to prepare my children by teaching them from biblically based home school curricula. When I discovered the Hebraic roots of my faith I learned an incredible amount about prophecy and then that there were a lot more preparations to make. We are heading into the worst time the world has ever known. If we want to bring our families through it we need to learn how to be prepared in numerous new ways–like learning how to restore and maintain good health, garden, preserve food, identify wild edibles, live without electricity….the list goes on and on. In this blog, I hope to share what I have been doing and learning–but mostly, to learn from you how to be better prepared for this time in our lives. Please share!
